We’ve got vids of three recent cover versions from Vampire Weekend (covering Tom Petty), Radiohead (covering Portishead), and Metallica (The Misfits). The Vampire Weekend cover is surprisingly solid; Radiohead playing Portishead backstage is fun and all, but I wish they would do more with “The Rip” and record a version of it in a studio; and let’s face it… it’s time for Metallica to get over themselves.
