There have been bands in EAR FARM’s brief history who’ve sprung up, seemingly born out of thin air, and begged to be listened to and seen live more and more. Some of them we’ve been lucky enough to find very early in their development and they’ve since found beaucoups fans and achieved nationwide success (such as Tapes ‘n Tapes, Annuals, The Ting Tings, Vampire Weekend, and next up - Bell); some are bands just ready to break into the hearts and minds of the listening public the world over any second now (dear world: as we’ve said a hundred times, be on the lookout for Takka Takka, Goes Cube, The Secret Life of Sofia, Drink Up Buttercup, and the explosive Dead Confederate). Prior to seeing Bombadil last night at Rockwood Music Hall I’d have pegged them as a band that would find fans no matter what, but perhaps one that would take the public some time to catch on to… a band to add to that second list. Now, after only one show, I’m ready to say you better catch these guys at tiny-ass venues while you can. They’re simply fantastic.
Now, I’m not going to try and say the same thing Mike already said, but in a different way. Rather, I’d like to tell my story of how much I enjoyed Bombadil in pictures…
