Watch even the slightest bit of 2008 Olympics coverage on TV and you’re bound to be inundated by him. Michael Phelps: champion of champions. Already the greatest Olympic champion of all-time, Phelps has amassed six gold medals thus far in Beijing and has set six world records doing so. It’s a feat of Herculean proportion already, that he’s going for medals seven and eight over the next two days is unfathomable.

The one overtly public aspect of this man-shark which shows him to be more human than deity is his love of music. Watch even the slightest bit of pre-race coverage and you’ll see him there, poolside, in his own little world jamming out to something on his iPod. What is Michael Phelps listening to?? What manner of music inspires such record setting performance?

A small amount of research shows that, apparently, it’s Lil Wayne and Young Jeezy. Fair enough, but there must be more! We thought so, at least… so we put together the mix you’ll find below.
