EAR FARM’s Muxtape #17: Just Like The Beach Boys Would…

Surprise surprise, even more Brian Wilson/Beach Boys-related love (Mike Love?) from us today. What were you expecting? It’s mid-summer and the man himself played Coney Island last night so this one’s a no-brainer really. This mix is comprised of a bunch of songs that are either clearly inspired by the Beach Boys OR which we completely subjectively feel could be Beach Boys songs.

There’s also an oh-so slight chronological flow to the list as well, starting with songs that (to us) hearken back more to their earlier material and progressing a bit towards when the boys discovered life outside of surfboards and Hawthorne, CA.

Unfortunately, it appears Muxtape is taking Friday off or sleeping in or is hungover or something, because at the moment we’re still unable to upload this mix. However, for now we’ve offered four of the songs below to tide you over while they get their technical difficulties sorted out.

*UPDATE - THE MIX IS NOW UPLOADED AND STREAMING ON MUXTAPE. ENJOY!
