EF Presents: You Make the Call - Born Ruffians
Bookmark and Share

Born Ruffians are a Canadian three piece we’ve only briefly touched upon here on EAR FARM. However, they made a lasting impression on us in Austin (pictured above) and continue to inspire adoring comments over on EF’s YouTube Channel. As a result, we thought we’d highlight some of the comments along with a few MP3s and live video and let YOU make the call…

Never be popular???

That’s the same thing they said about Vampire Weekend and those good old chaps, HelloGoodbye.

They’re on their way to success, even if it may be simply because of their touring mates: Hot Chip, Peter Bjorn and John, Hidden Cameras, etc.

They also have a good thing working for them: all their songs have a similar sound (you can recognize that it is Born Ruffians), yet each has a totally distinct reinterpretation of the base sound.
In other words, each song is a hit in its own right.
