This week’s Contrast Podcast celebrates the artists who have appeared most frequently on previous Contrast Podcast episodes in a convenient top sixteen countdown. I make an appearance discussing one of my most favorite songs by my favorite band of all-time. Which? What? Click HERE to listen and find out. More about the Contrast Podcast below…
The Contrast Podcast started in March 2006 and has seen the production of one episode each week since then, usually published on Tuesdays. The podcast works like this: a theme is chosen and then a variety of contributors choose songs based on that theme and record witty and interesting spoken introductions which they send to Tim Young who compiles them into a lovely podcast.
In the beginning, I was a frequent contributor. Over time I’ve spent more and more time focusing on EAR FARM things and moved from frequent contributor to weekly listener. However, when the theme for this week was announced I decided it might be time to step back behind the microphone to discuss any of a number of my favorite artists ever (a few of the choices being Billy Bragg, Radiohead, The Smiths, and Belle & Sebastian). Tim thought it appropriate that I pick a song by The Smiths and say a few words, so I did. After talking myself out of featuring something extremely rare by The Smiths, my choice of song was simple. But, again, I’m not going to spoil the fun and tell you any more here… you’ll have to head over to this week’s Contrast Podcast and listen for yourself.
Enjoy!
